Naval Facilities Engineering and Expeditionary Warfare Center (NAVFAC EXWC) is seeking a Life Cycle Logistics Supervisor with a diverse set of technical, managerial, and interpersonal skills to effectively oversee complex logistics operations and project execution. This role located in Port Hueneme, CA at Naval Base Ventura County.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and guide their team to successfully execute assigned tasks, ensuring the seamless implementation of established logistical processes and procedures.
- Proactively develop and introduce innovative logistical support strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Lead the development of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) plans for large, complex systems incorporating new and emerging technologies or intricate fielding requirements. This includes overseeing the creation of the Logistics Funding Summary, Materiel Fielding Plan, and Life Cycle Management Plan to ensure efficient logistics support throughout the system's lifecycle.
Position Requirements:
- At least 3-5 years of experience in DoD lifecycle logistics
Preferred Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of Department of Defense regulations, including FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation) and DFARS (Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement).
- Lifecycle Logistics Expertise - Integrated Logistics Support (ILS): Knowledge of ILS principles, including sustainment, maintenance, supportability analysis, and spare parts management.
- Logistics Planning: Ability to develop and implement logistics strategies for the entire life cycle of a system, from acquisition to disposal.
- Supply Chain Management: Understanding of supply chain processes, including procurement, inventory control, and distribution.
- Life Cycle Cost Management: Familiarity with cost analysis, budgeting, and funding allocation to ensure optimal resource utilization over the system’s life.
Federal Employment Requirements:
- US Citizen aged 18 or older at time of hire
- Males registered or exempt from Selective Service www.sss.gov
- Determined suitable for federal employment (process includes a background check and fingerprinting)
